The second annual "PE Day on the Hill" was a great success with over 430 students from local Ottawa schools participating in the event on Parliament Hill, and close to 65,000 students from across Canada holding their own "PE Day" events.

Members of Parliament - Ms. Shelley Glover (Saint-Boniface), who represented the Minister of State for Sport, Mr. Gary Lunn at the event, Mr. Royal Galipeau (Ottawa-Orleans) and Dr. Keith Martin (Esquimalt-Juan de Fuca) all attended the event and helped to present banners to the attending schools.

The attending schools from Ottawa were:

• Featherston Drive Public School
• Chapel Hill Catholic School
• St. George Elementary School
• Viscount Alexander Public School
• St. Patrick’s Intermediate School
• D. Roy Kennedy Public School
• Henry Munro Middle School
• St. Paul High School
