In 2004, PHE Canada (formerly CAHPERD) and PepsiCo joined forces to develop BALANCE FIRST™, a comprehensive educational resource targeting grades 1-5. BALANCE FIRST™ . This resource was supported through PepsiCo Canada and its employees and sponsors, through the ChipIn Community Fund.  Over the last four years,, approximately 4000 schools are benefiting from this toolkit.

In September 2008, PepsiCo Canada has decided to no longer support the continuation of BALANCE FIRST™.  On behalf of PHE Canada, we would like to thank PepsiCo for their support throughout the years.
